States today practicing both Pediatrics and Emergency Medicine. He is a
Professor at both LSU Health Sciences Center and Tulane University Medical
Center as well as a national award-winning medical broadcast journalist,
working as on-air Chief Medical Editor for the NBC television affiliate in New
Orleans, Louisiana and the Gulf Coast for over a decade. He is a frequent
on-air contributor to the “Dr. Oz Show” and a fan favorite on MSNBC where he is

show on the Cumulus Broadcasting Network, called “Doctor For The People” in
which he answers health questions live on the air across the country for those
